Tight Rough
{Marie} I am really enjoy your concept behind this poster. The title is
short and to the point and I do feel the illustrative face of the
exhaust is very communicative and helps your overall message of not
idling.
With regards to the reverse body type, just make
sure that the type will still be readable and that it is not hurting the
eyes. White type on black background can be a little exhausting to look
at.
Is there a reason for the distressed rough
aesthetic? I just thought I would ask. I think the rough aesthetic will
add some character to the poster but I was just more curious why you
want to have a rough aesthetic and the reasoning behind it. Be concise
in the body text. Get the main points out like you mentioned on your
brief in regard to your poster text. Overall I hope some of this
critique helped you to think about some things.
{Me} Thanks for reminding me of the risks of doing reverse type. I don't think that there will be too much text there that it starts to wear on the eyes. The rough aesthetic is because it is not a pretty topic. When I think of pollution of any kind it's never all that clean and tidy. It's still mostly going to be vector art, just rough.
